This weekend

Este viernes fue el cumpleaños de mi mamá, y fuimos a celebrar a un restaurant español que hacen una increíble paella! no puedo explicarles además los exquisitos postres que había...la pasamos genial...

Last friday was my mom birthday and we went to a great spanish restaurant to eat an amazing paella! and I couldn´t explain to you all the exquisite desserts...we had a great time...

Hoy tenemos de menú algo bien sano!, una especie de sopa/guiso de tomates y varias verduras...bien simple y sencillo, pero realmente exquisito!

Tonight we have something very very simple but very healthy! this kind of soup/stew of tomatoes and lots of vegetables...really exquisite!

1. sometimes i really get mad with human race or people in general, when they are rude, mistreat animals or inocent people, i want to punch in the face!!! (of course i never do that, so my anger still grow)

2. I love what I do, design and teaching, i can do this all my life

3. i think i told you this before, but i´m really nerd, i love books and knowledge with all my heart, and this friday i start a book club with my dearest friend Natalia, and we start with isabel allende´s "the house of spirits" (i will tell you more about this)

4. I love sebastian, he´s the best that happened in my life, we know each other since i was 15 years old (i´m 30), he was my first and only boyfriend, my first kiss, my best friend and my entire world, we have a lot of stories together, it´s a pleasure to share this beautiful life with him.

5. chopin and vivaldi music inspires me a lot and sometimes a little tear drop in my face, it´s magical music...

6. i love to laugh very loud when i watch "seinfield", "frasier", "the big bang theory", "will and grace" (my favorite tv shows of course)

7. i always want to look like those girls in the 1940´s, i love the hair, the clothes, the elegance, that sofistication.

Quiero crear un nuevo tema en el blog sobre comida y el cocinar, con el nombre pomposo de "Menu du jour". Cada noche cocina, y lo hago con mucho placer, ya que es un momento mágico para mi, es el momento en que mi esposo y yo cenamos tranquilos y tenemos un momento juntos después de un día agotador de trabajo, así que aprovecho y preparo una rica comida. Así que aquí dejo una especie de diario culinario de cada comida de la noche y claro, están invitados hacer criticas, comentarios o sugerencias!

I want to create a new theme in my blog about food and cooking, with the pompous name "Menu du jour". Every night I cook, and I do it with pleasure, because this time of the day is magical for me, every night is the time that my husband and I are together after all the hard day of work, so I really like to prepare a good meal. Este restaurant del afamado chef peruano Gastón Acurio, me muestra una vez más cuanto me gusta la cocina peruana, sea fina, sea tradicional sin mucha parafernalia o como sea. Estuvimos cenando por ahí hace unos días, está ubicado en el mall Parque Arauco y me encantó no solo la decoración del lugar y el diseño, sino también la cálida atención (muy típica del pueblo peruano, que tanto admiro), y por supuesto, la exquisita comida que da ganas que nunca se acabe...

This restaurant of the famous peruvian chef Gastón Acurio, it shows me ones again how much I love peruvian food, in every way, fine, popular or whatever. We were there a few days ago, it´s located in Parque Arauco mall and I loved the deco and design of the place, and of course the kindness of the service (very typical of the peruvian people) and of course the amazing food, that you want that never ends...

Little women

Todavía me acuerdo cuando mi mamá me regaló este maravilloso libro para mi cumpleaños número 9: "Mujercitas" de Louisa May Alcott. Primero por supuesto leí el libro y luego unos años después sacaron la película, la cual disfruté muchísimo y me gustó tanto como el libro. Volví a ver la película la semana pasada y lloré tanto como la primera vez que la ví (y estoy sintiendo mucha vergüenza en este momento) pero esa sensación de ser mujercita...no se, no puedo explicarlo, pero muchos recuerdos de esa hermosa época volvieron a mi mente. Me encantan las historias que involucran personajes como Jo, llena de pasión, determinación, coraje, inteligencia tanto de la mente como del corazón. Pero no hay que olvidar los demás personajes femeninos que son igual de importantes y cada una de las mujeres le aporta algo con su personalidad, Meg, Beth, Amy, la mamá, la tía May y la nanny. Encuentro el trabajo de Louisa May Alcott más que notable, sobre todo por la época tan compleja para la mujer en la que escribió. Creo que no hay mujercita o mujer que no haya leído este libro, si no lo hicieron, creo que deberían.

I always remembered when my mom gave me this beautiful gift in my 9th birthday: "Little women" by Louisa May Alcott. First I read the book of course, and then I saw the movie a few years later, and I felt satisfy and more, I loved the movie as well as the book. I saw the movie last week again, and I cried as the same I did the first time (I feel really embarrassed right now telling you this) but that sensation of be a little women, it came to my mind again...oh I can´t explain...I like very much all those stories with characters like Jo, full of courage, passionate and intelligence of heart and mind. But at the same time you love all the characters, all the sisters have beautiful personalities: Meg, Beth, Amy and of course Jo, and don´t forget the mother, ant May and the nanny. I find Louisa May Alcott´s work a remarkable piece of art and mostly in those times. I think that there´s no little or older women that haven´t read this book, but if you don´t yet, I think you should...

Mi abuela estuvo de visita hace unas cuantas semanas atrás (por suerte antes del terremoto). La pasamos genial y visitamos muchos lugares en Santiago, uno de ellos Le Fournil en Vitacura, la comida estuvo increíble y super sana. La abuela se extraña y esperemos que vuelva pronto...

My grandma was in town a few weeks ago (before earthquake thank god). We had a great time together and we visited a lot of beautiful places in Santiago, one of them was an amazing lunch in Le Fournil in Vitacura street, the food was very tasty and healthy. We miss you grandma and hope that you will come visit us soon...

Located in the beautiful Barrio Bellas Artes, I visited this coffee store a few weeks ago. It´s in a very old house, the furniture and architecture are amazing!. In Monjitas street with Mosqueto street. You can´t miss it!

Start all over again

Tratando de recuperarme un poco de todo lo que hemos pasado esta última semana, se me ocurrió que mejor que ver las noticias, las cuales me deprimen aún más es ver peliculas que me levanten el animo y me hagan feliz. Something´s gotta give es una de ellas.
